Ingredients
CINNAMON BROWN BUTTER CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE BARS
Crust:
Filling:
- 6 tbsp butter
- 6 tbsp heavy cream
- ⅓ cup zero calorie sweetener
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Topping:
- 3 tbsp sugar free chocolate chips
- ½ tsp coconut oil
Method
- Preheat the oven 350 F and prepare a 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Place the cookies and almond flour into a food processor and blend until fine crumbles form.
- Add in the melted butter and pulse to combine.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake it for 6-7 minutes and the edges start to brown.
- Add the butter, heavy cream and zero calorie sweetener to a medium sized pot over mediumheat.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes and the mixture starts to darken in color.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and pecan pieces until well coated.
- Transfer to the crust and press the mixture evenly over the crust. Chill for at least 2 hours.
- Add the chocolate and coconut oil to a microwave safe dish and cook for 20 seconds, stir and cook another 20 seconds and stir smooth.
- Drizzle chocolate over the pecans. Chill until chocolate hardens. Cut into 16 bars and serve.
