Following an overcast for the last two days, several parts of Gujarat are expected to receive rainfall on December 27 and 28.
The forecast, issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), predicts light showers in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi and Kutch districts. The rainfall will be accompanied by light thunderstorm and lighting, with surface winds of 30- 40 kmph (in gust).
While weather will remain dry over the rest of the region, no major change in minimum temperatures is expected till Wednesday. Thereafter, a gradual rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius is very likely over the region, stated the IMD on Monday.
On Tuesday, Ahmedabad is likely to remain partly cloudy with a minimum temperature of 18 degree Celsius.
Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7.2 degree Celsius on Sunday, followed by Bhuj at 12.4 degrees Celsius. Rajkot and Surendranagar were at 13 degrees Celsius, Keshod recorded 13.9 degrees, Amreli 14.8, and Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar 17.6 and 16.4 degrees respectively.
The highest maximum temperatures were recorded by Vallabh Vidyanagar at 29.9 degrees Celsius and Vadodara at 28.4 degrees Celsius.
